I am in Darwin, sea freight to Darwin is very expensive and we cannot get LCL, have to book by FCL, not useful when we only have two pallets.
Any suggestions? Can I share a container with your customers in Adelaide and ship to darwin by truck?
Hi Jade,
If you only have 2 pallets, no matter what, it’s not worth to ship with FCL, I actually compared the price for one of our client’s before to ship a FCL container direct to Darwin, or ship to other port then truck or rail to Darwin, the prices were very similar, you can’t save too much.
For LCL, I would suggest that you LCL to Brisbane and we transport it from here, as there is a lot of freight going that way as we are as close as anyone, if you can give me some weights & Dims we can provide a quote. So far I think this is best option as, FCL to Darwin would be way more expensive as I said before and no LCL service directly to Darwin, normally via Brisbane.

Hi Lindy
Thanks for your feedback. Agree with your post above.
Road freight from Adelaide is cheapest, Brisbane is a bit more, that’s fine as long as everything goes smoothly.
Next question, can I consolidate my pallets with other goods that you are bringing in, and save on customers brokerage, port handling fees?
Hi Jade,
On occasions we have been able to consolidate orders between clients. However, it depends on the situation and volumes being imported. My recommendation would be to contact us directly either by phone or email.
Lindy.
